Secrets of Home Wine Making reveals to the non-professional wine maker the little tips that help you make better wine at home. The book provides a general background to the world of grapes and wine and then provides specific information about the unique characteristics of popular wine grape varieties. There is a section on how to mathematically determine the correct way to blend wine. The overall view of this book is to aid the home wine maker in making technically correct wine, which will increase the quality and self-life of his wine.

Dr. Barry Nadel received his B. Sc. and M.Sc. in the Department of Viticulture and Enology at UC Davis, California. He studied at Davis during the last years of the giants that formed the US wine industry, and was a student of the famous grape breeder, Prof. H.P. Olmo.
